January 2nd 2022, Hardy Souls - Crathes to Crathie (the long way around) ...

Meet at Milton of Crathes carpark 09.30.
Leave Milton of Crathes and head for South Deeside Road.
Arrive at Boat Inn, Aboyne 10.30 appx for breakfast rolls & tea/coffee. (full breakfast menu not available).
From Boat Inn take A93 to Dinnet, turn right onto A97.
Follow A97 to Mossat, turning left at the A944 junction.
Continue on A97 to B9002 (turn left).
Follow B9002 to junction with A941 (turn left), now travel through Cabrach to Dufftown.
Go through Dufftown town centre and turn left onto B9009, signposted for Tomintoul.
Rendezvous at main carpark in Tomintoul (opposite Whisky Castle) , toilets may be open if we are lucky.
Leave Tomintoul and follow A939 towards Lecht Ski Centre.
Stop at Top of hill about one mile after Lecht for photos if weather suitable.
Follow A939 to Watchers carpark above Corgarff Castle - more photos if weather is OK.
Continue to follow A939 to Gairnshiel Bridge, turn right onto single track B976 , stop at highest point for photos (large double passing place).
Continue on B976 to junction with A93 - turn left, after appx half a mile pull in at the Highlanders Bakehouse for coffee and cake.
Leave the Highlanders Bakehouse and head home on a route of your choice.
